About the Role
Bosch Group is seeking a Pass-through Logistics Planner to join their manufacturing team in Japan. This role is crucial for managing the supply chain of automotive-related products for OEM customers. You will be responsible for the entire process from order placement with overseas Bosch plants to final delivery to the customer. This is a permanent, onsite position.
Key Responsibilities
- Order and Inventory Management: Based on customer demand, manage product order planning and processing to overseas Bosch plants, including production, transportation, and shipment schedules. This includes appropriate inventory control and management of new product launches, changes, and phase-outs.
- Order Intake, Shipment, and Transportation Management: Collaborate with internal Bosch departments and external business partners to monitor status changes promptly and ensure timely customer deliveries.
- System and Data Management: Utilize SAP as the core ERP system for managing master data, order planning, order processing, shipment, transportation, and inventory control.
- Optimization Initiatives: Drive cost reduction activities, improve operational efficiency, and enhance quality to optimize logistics quality and cost management.
Requirements
- Logistics Expertise: Comprehensive understanding and hands-on experience in supply chain management and logistics concepts, including order planning, inventory management, transportation, and shipment operations.
- Language Skills: Ability to communicate effectively in Japanese with internal staff and strong English communication skills for international interactions.
- International Negotiation and Communication: Proven track record of successful negotiations with overseas partners, demonstrating a proactive, collaborative mindset and the ability to maintain smooth cross-cultural communication.
- SAP Proficiency: Experience working with SAP for logistics and supply chain management.
