ECS is seeking a passionate and innovative Solution Architect to join our team. This role is ideal for individuals who are driven by automation, enterprise transformation, and a desire to modernize existing architectures while establishing new, cutting-edge solutions. You will play a strategic role in shaping the future of technology, business delivery, and data utilization.

About the Role

As a Solution Architect, you will collaborate closely with customers to understand their requirements and design robust, sustainable cloud architectures primarily on AWS and Azure. You will also identify and integrate necessary tools and software to meet client needs. Your ability to translate technical possibilities into achievable objectives, merging technical, business, and customer demands, will be crucial. You will act as an expert in delivering technical projects, proactively identifying challenges, and leading the development of solutions to overcome them.

Key Responsibilities

• Independently apply a wide range of engineering disciplines for the planning, design, analysis, coding, testing, rollout, and support of information systems architectures.
• Continuously optimize Cloud platform services across all integration points.
• Interact closely with key project stakeholders to gather requirements, design, plan, and implement operationally sustainable solutions.
• Collaborate with the technical team to deliver proposed designs.
• Provide thought and design leadership.
• Serve as a technical Subject Matter Expert (SME) for cloud services, providers, and platforms.
• Lead solution architecting sessions, evaluating tradeoffs between design, risk, and cost.
• Create technical solution proposals and cost estimates, including labor, infrastructure, and licensing.
• Problem-solve challenges as they arise.
• Adapt designs to new requirements or discoveries.
• Leverage a data-driven approach for continuous improvement of solutions, organization, and workforce.
• Optimize performance across multiple teams by suggesting delivery process transformations towards evolving best practices, tailored to each team and project context.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree
• U.S. Citizenship is required.
• Minimum of 7 years of related experience, with a broad background in various technology solutions including:
  • Cloud Services
  • Infrastructure Automation
  • DevSecOps
  • Open Source Ecosystems
  • Application Programming
  • Service Oriented Architecture
  • Enterprise Architecture
  • Microsoft technologies
  • ServiceNow
• Deep working knowledge of all aspects of Cloud Development Platforms, including IT operations, Virtualization, Containerization, Networking, Storage, Disaster Recovery, Security Policy and Controls implementation, System Management, and Data Migration.
• Expertise in enterprise solution design and approaches to enterprise cloud solutions.
• Proficiency in promoting architecture principles and conducting research on specific technology areas, staying current with industry trends in application architectures.
• Excellent written and oral presentation skills.
• Outstanding client-interaction skills.
• Ability to think creatively and work independently or collaboratively on complex tasks with minimal direction or supervision.
