About the Role
Are you energetic, creative, and ready for a role in a fast-paced, SaaS company? Planful is expanding its Sales Development team to meet growing demand. In this role, you will develop skills in filtering and qualifying outbound interest, generating pipeline, and helping prospective customers address their business challenges. This is a remote position based in the Scottsdale, AZ area.
What You'll Do
- Execute outbound activities utilizing the Planful tech stack.
- Conduct phone-based discussions with prospects to identify and qualify opportunities.
- Understand finance users' pain points, gather requirements, and articulate business value aligned with customer needs.
- Collaborate with Account Executives to strategize outbound approaches for identifying opportunities within target accounts.
- Develop a strong understanding of the mid-market industry and the value our solutions provide.
- Achieve quarterly sales quotas.
- Provide detailed call notes to the Account Executive team to ensure clear understanding of opportunities and defined next steps.
- Update and maintain customer information in Salesforce.com.
Requirements
- 6-18 months of experience in a Top-of-Funnel sales role preferred; SaaS or Internet industry experience is a plus.
- Bachelor's Degree; a Finance or Accounting degree, or a related field, is a plus.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- A driven, hunter mentality with a detail-oriented and team-player attitude.
- Self-starter with highly developed interpersonal and organizational skills; decisive and results-oriented, prepared for a fast-paced and demanding environment.
- Experience with Salesforce and Outreach is a plus.
- Passion for pursuing and growing a career in technology/SaaS sales.
- Proven history of exceeding quota in past roles.
- Comfortable and accountable working remotely.
- Proactive, coachable, and consistently seeking improvement.
