Autodesk is seeking a dedicated People (HR) Consultant to join our People Experience organization for a 6-month fixed-term contract. In this role, you will be instrumental in designing and delivering a five-star employee experience, providing expert guidance, and anticipating the needs of our employees. You will empower leaders and teams by offering expertise in coaching, facilitation, and advisory practices aligned with Autodesk's culture and global behavior standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Consultation Leveraging Regional Expertise and Knowledge:
- Address complex labor and compliance issues.
- Support M&A diligence and integration.
- Assist with new location setup or closures.
- Manage involuntary terminations.
- Provide coaching on Performance Improvement Plans.
- Handle investigation procedures beyond standard Employee Relations scenarios.
- Support site councils and site leaders.
- Engage in crisis management.
- Proactive Consultation:
- Facilitate and intervene in team dynamics for development.
- Support team effectiveness through reorganizations, redeployments, and retention strategies.
- Manage change initiatives.
- Onboard and assimilate leaders.
- Interpret employee insights and develop action plans.
- Coach employees on career development and planning.
- Guide the performance management cycle, feedback, and performance improvement.
- On-Demand Consultation:
- Partner with Employee Relations on conflict management and mediation.
- Provide support and guidance on established HR programs (e.g., calibration, focal, job leveling).
- Program Deployment and Adoption:
- Drive the deployment and adoption of HR programs (e.g., salary reviews, performance management, benefits, culture initiatives) within designated regions or business units.
- Coordinate with stakeholders for effective implementation and assessment.
- Recommend actions consistent with the company's strategic direction.
- Potentially support business teams with internal training programs.
Minimum Qualifications
- Proven experience as an HR professional partnering with all levels, including senior leaders, managers, and employees, throughout the entire employment cycle.
- Skilled in coaching and facilitation.
- Subject matter expertise in areas such as local employment laws and practices, employee relations, compensation, and benefits.
- Ability to prioritize and apply targeted effort to critical tasks.
- Excellent communication skills with a passion for making a positive impact.
- A strong advocate for company culture and values.
- Fluent in German and English.
- Previous experience in a multinational matrix organization is preferred.
- Certifications such as MBTI, Strength Finder, or Coaching are a plus.
- 8+ years of relevant experience; BA/BS or equivalent work experience.
- PHR/SPHR or equivalent is preferred.
