Sr. Data & AI Engineer
Company: ECS Location: Remote (USA) Contract: Permanent Salary: $160,000 - $185,000
ECS is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sr. Data & AI Engineer to join our high-performing remote team. In this role, you will be instrumental in product discovery, leveraging your data expertise to bridge technical, business, and customer needs into achievable objectives. You will drive the completion of these objectives and identify opportunities for process, organizational, technical, and cultural improvements. As an expert in delivering technical projects, you will lead cross-functional teams to implement solutions and enhance our practices.
You will apply your technical expertise across multiple disciplines to share best approaches and solutions with our customers, improving complex strategic solutions and meeting enterprise needs. Strong candidates will demonstrate experience in identifying strategic improvement opportunities, building buy-in, and executing a clear vision.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide critical support in product discovery by merging technical, business, and customer needs.
- Identify challenges and improvements in process, organizational practices, technical innovation, and culture.
- Lead cross-functional teams to develop and deliver solutions for identified improvements.
- Apply technical expertise to share best approaches and solutions with customers to enhance strategic solutions and meet enterprise needs.
- Develop roadmaps linking architectural capabilities to address organizational data challenges.
- Work hands-on with developers to deliver solutions and provide customer-facing support.
- Communicate technical solutions effectively to diverse stakeholders at various leadership levels.
- Mentor data engineers, establish best practices, conduct code reviews, and guide teams on the business value of solutions.
- Build solutions that leverage data to improve business insights, support operational decisions, and enhance performance management.
- Support Business Development efforts by maturing strategic solution ideas and aligning them with customer needs.
Requirements
- Must be a US Citizen.
- Must be able to obtain a Public Trust Clearance.
- Bachelor's degree.
- 10+ years of IT experience, including design, analysis, and implementation of large-scale, complex data architectures.
- 5+ years of experience in evaluating, architecting, and building AI and Generative AI tools.
- Experience serving as a central facilitator to help organizations understand their current drivers and challenges.
- Experience working in an Agile environment leveraging advanced design and engineering best practices.
- Knowledge of Data Management and Data Architecture concepts, Data Warehousing and Big Data tools, Data Analytics, and Data Science concepts and tools.
- Experience with Azure and AWS Cloud native data and AI technologies.
- Experience with Databricks, Snowflake, Palantir, and other large data platforms.
- Strong ability to communicate technical solutions and explain the business value of technical solutions.
