About the Role
World Wide Technology (WWT) is seeking a motivated and visionary Associate Strategic Resource Engagement Manager (Associate SEM) to join our dynamic Strategic Resourcing team. This role is designed for an individual eager to grow into a full Strategic Engagement Manager (SEM) by developing expertise in personnel management, business operations, marketing, and WWT's comprehensive offerings. You will work closely with the SEM team, supporting our resources, special projects, and daily operations. As you gain confidence, you will be entrusted with managing a portfolio of resources and clients under the guidance of experienced leadership. Key Responsibilities
Personnel & Relationship Management:
- Build strong relationships with resources and clients, becoming a trusted advisor for all WWT-related matters.
- Establish and maintain regular communication with resources (1:1s, emails, team calls) and client contacts.
- Navigate performance issues, difficult conversations, coaching, hiring/terminating, and compensation discussions.
- Manage timecards and time off requests.
- Manage and maintain an accurate roster of resources supporting WWT clients, tracking onboarding and offboarding activities.
- Ensure all resources meet required customer training, certifications, and project assignment requirements.
- Coordinate end-to-end onboarding and offboarding processes for consultants, aligning with internal teams and client needs.
- Oversee the distribution, tracking, and return of internal and client-issued assets.
- Provide regular reporting on personnel changes, including onboarding status, active resource updates, and offboarding details.
Day-to-Day Operations:
- Develop an understanding of the Strategic Resourcing Profit & Loss (P&L) and engagement financials.
- Utilize various reporting tools (Tableau, Smartsheet) for team rosters, dashboards, financials, and burn rates.
- Work proficiently within WWT's toolset, including Salesforce, The Deal, Tableau, Empower, Bullhorn, Trello, and Smartsheet.
- Actively participate in status reports, roster updates, SOP updates, and Udemy reporting.
- Understand the roles of cross-functional teams supporting Strategic Resourcing (sales, project coordinators, resource managers, regional managers).
Marketing & WWT Expertise:
- Generate new ideas and content for WWT's internal and external platforms.
- Develop creative strategies to enable sales teams and educate customers through newsletters, communications, and events.
- Assist with the internal Strategic Resourcing Newsletter and all-hands calls.
- Contribute to the creation of case studies and success stories for the Strategic Resourcing practice.
- Educate resources and customers on WWT's capabilities, including the WWT IML, Platform/ATC, Command Center, Udemy, and Mentorship programs.
- Build knowledge of WWT's technical offerings beyond Strategic Resourcing (e.g., Application Services, Consulting Services, LaaS, Infrastructure Services, Supply Chain).
- Present the WWT Go-to-Market presentation effectively.
- Encourage the utilization of WWT's resources and support mechanisms.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree preferred, or a combination of education, training, and experience may be considered.
- Experience working with Vendor Management Systems (VMS) such as Bullhorn, Beeline, or Fieldglass is preferred.
- Strong financial acumen and proficiency in Excel are required.
- Experience working with utility customers is a significant advantage.
- Baseline knowledge of World Wide Technology.
- Baseline knowledge of Professional Services, outsourcing, managed services, or partner-led engagements. Experience in the staffing or recruiting industry is a plus.
- Baseline knowledge of the IT/Technical industry is a plus.
- Excellent communication skills (written, verbal, and presentation).
- Ability to learn quickly and adapt to new information.
