Job Description
Director, Growth Marketing (TV & Offline Media)
Chime is seeking a strategic and data-driven Director to lead and execute its TV and Offline marketing strategy. This role will be instrumental in evolving these channels into a media investment and planning engine, central to Chime's growth model and mission to help millions achieve financial progress.
About the Role
This position is responsible for defining, leading, and executing Chime’s TV and Offline marketing strategy. You will own cross-channel media strategy and investment planning across Brand and Growth, translating Marketing Mix Modeling (MMM), incrementality insights, and business goals into budget allocation and media mix decisions for TV, audio, direct mail, and adjacent channels. You will partner closely with channel leads, Analytics, and Finance to drive this strategy.
You will lead a high-performing team, including a TV/Audio lead and a dedicated Offline Planner. You will also oversee agency and measurement partners, and collaborate with senior leaders across Brand, Growth, Product Marketing, Analytics, Finance, and MarTech to deliver scalable, measurable business impact and a robust, full-funnel media system.
The base salary for this role ranges from $196,000.00 to $270,000.00, with the actual offer depending on location, skills, qualifications, and experience. Full-time employees are also eligible for a bonus, competitive equity package, and comprehensive benefits.
Key Responsibilities
- Set the long-term vision and roadmap for TV & Offline as a core growth driver, defining the balance between Brand and performance marketing within the media mix and aligning with company and marketing objectives.
- Own and optimize an eight-to-nine figure annual TV & Offline media portfolio, accountable for Customer Acquisition Cost (CAC), Lifetime Value (LTV), and incremental growth. This includes developing investment frameworks, scenario plans, and pacing in partnership with Finance and Analytics.
- Build integrated, full-funnel media plans that connect upper-funnel brand outcomes to mid- and lower-funnel performance across TV, audio, direct mail, and related offline channels.
- Apply MMM outputs, incrementality results, and budget allocation recommendations into offline planning, acting as a primary client of the MMM function.
- Lead and develop a high-performing offline media team, establishing clear roles, goals, and operating rhythms.
- Serve as the strategic integration layer between offline media, Brand, and Direct Response (DR) efforts, partnering with Brand & Creative to translate campaign briefs into full-funnel plans with clear business outcomes.
- Define effective ways of working across channel leads, Brand, Growth, Analytics, Finance, and agencies to ensure cohesive planning, execution, and measurement.
- Influence senior leadership on strategy, investment decisions, and trade-offs through data-backed storytelling that clearly frames options and consequences.
Requirements
- 12+ years of marketing/media experience, with deep expertise in TV & Offline strategy, planning, and execution.
- A minimum of 4 years of in-house experience at a scaled consumer brand.
- Proven success in owning multi-million to eight-/nine-figure media portfolios with direct accountability for CAC, LTV, and incremental growth.
- Strong media mix and measurement background, including hands-on familiarity with MMM, incrementality testing, and attribution, and a track record of using these to drive budget allocation and trade-off decisions.
- Experience building portfolio-level plans (not just channel-specific plans), including annual and quarterly planning, scenario modeling, and reallocations across channels and funnel stages.
- Demonstrated executive presence and the ability to translate complex data and modeling into clear, decisive narratives for VP/CMO/CFO-level stakeholders.
- A track record of leading and developing high-performing teams and orchestrating agencies and internal partners around a unified media strategy and investment framework.
- Comfort operating in fast-moving, performance-driven environments with imperfect data and competing stakeholder priorities, while maintaining a strong sense of ownership and sound judgment.
What We Offer
