About the Role
Chime is seeking a visionary Director of Marketing Analytics to lead and scale our Marketing Analytics function during a significant growth phase. This role is pivotal in defining how marketing analytics drives business strategy. You will lead a high-performing team, leveraging descriptive analytics, modeling, and experimentation to provide strategic guidance to Marketing and Executive leadership on optimal investment strategies for maximum impact.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive tangible business outcomes, focusing on delivering impactful results rather than theoretical analyses.
- Establish and execute the vision and strategy for the Marketing Analytics team.
- Lead, mentor, and grow a team of marketing analysts, promoting high standards of technical rigor and business impact.
- Prioritize team workload and enhance team processes, potentially utilizing AI.
- Oversee the company's marketing reporting and analysis across paid, owned, and integrated channels, covering acquisition, activation, engagement, retention, and Lifetime Value (LTV).
- Develop scalable reporting infrastructure and self-serve tools to enhance marketing velocity and accountability.
- Utilize Marketing Mix Modeling (MMM), experimental, and quasi-experimental methodologies to estimate incremental impact.
- Translate complex analyses into clear, persuasive recommendations for executive leadership.
- Collaborate with Marketing, Finance, and Product leadership to inform budget allocation and investment strategies.
Requirements
- 10+ years of experience in analytics or a related quantitative field, with at least 8 years specifically in Marketing Analytics within a B2C technology company.
- A results-oriented mindset with a strong bias for action, clarity, and high standards.
- Exceptional stakeholder management skills, with proven experience influencing senior leadership and cross-functional executives.
- A demonstrated track record of using data to drive measurable business impact within a consumer-facing marketing team.
- Experience with brand and performance marketing, understanding how these functions operate.
- Proven experience leading and developing high-performing analytics teams, with a history of elevating talent and fostering a strong team culture.
- Deep expertise in marketing measurement, including attribution modeling, media mix modeling, causal inference, and customer lifetime value modeling.
- Strong SQL proficiency and experience working with large-scale data warehouses.
- Proficiency in BI and visualization tools (e.g., Looker, Tableau, PowerBI) and experience improving data accessibility across organizations.
- Solid statistical foundation (e.g., hypothesis testing, predictive modeling, experimental design) and experience with Python.
