About the Role
This is an exciting opportunity to make a significant impact on the global employment landscape as a Business Operations Manager within EOR Operations. You will be instrumental in enhancing end-to-end EOR Operations by fostering cross-functional clarity, establishing operating mechanisms, and providing delivery support across various domains. You will collaborate with senior leaders and stakeholders to enable scalable execution, achieve measurable outcomes, and drive the adoption of changes that affect multiple teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead cross-functional projects from conception through execution, including gathering requirements, defining scope, planning milestones, providing stakeholder updates, managing adoption, and measuring impact.
- Identify systemic operational gaps within EOR domains and coordinate remediation efforts with accountable owners and partners, ensuring changes do not introduce manual work or unintended consequences.
- Enhance cross-domain visibility and alignment within EOR Operations by maintaining clarity on initiatives, dependencies, risks, and decisions.
- Identify and implement AI-enabled improvements to EOR operating mechanisms, ensuring accuracy, security, and measurable impact.
- Facilitate prioritization and sequencing for work spanning multiple EOR domains, regions, or involving cross-functional handoffs; establish lightweight governance and escalation paths for prioritization conflicts.
- Own recurring reporting inputs (efficiency, quality, throughput, risk signals) and translate insights into clear recommendations, ensuring follow-through with accountable owners.
- Establish and continuously improve EOR-wide operating mechanisms (intake/routing, handoffs, escalation paths, documentation standards, and reusable SOP patterns) to reduce misrouting, duplication, and stalled work.
- Support audit and compliance program management for cross-functional efforts, including evidence gathering, stakeholder alignment, and remediation tracking.
- Partner effectively with Product/Engineering, Legal, Customer Success, Finance, and EOR Ops leadership to align on cross-domain operational requirements and enable smooth execution across multiple surfaces (e.g., Payroll, PEO, EOR).
- Adapt to various project work as required by business needs within EOR Operations.
Requirements
- Demonstrated experience in business operations, program/project management, operational excellence, or a similar cross-functional role, ideally within EOR Operations or a related environment.
- Strong project management skills with the ability to manage ambiguous, multi-stakeholder work from problem definition through delivery, adoption, and measurement.
- Ability to facilitate alignment across teams with differing priorities and influence outcomes without direct authority.
- Proficiency in using AI thoughtfully to improve workflows and incorporate it into solution design where it meaningfully enhances quality, speed, or clarity.
- Comfort working with operational metrics and reporting tools (e.g., Sigma, Zendesk, Google Sheets) and the ability to translate data into clear insights and recommendations.
- Excellent written communication skills, with a default towards transparent and effective asynchronous communication.
- A proactive, structured, and self-directed approach with high ownership and follow-through ("manager of one" mindset).
- A passion for improving systems and ways of working, with demonstrated examples of making processes faster, clearer, and more scalable.
- Ability to move quickly with intention, demonstrating strong judgment regarding trade-offs, risks, and escalation needs.
