About the Role
We are seeking a talented Senior Frontend Developer with a strong background in systems and data integration. You will join our data integration and migration team to deliver next-generation data movement and integrated data platform solutions. This role involves working with databases, event streaming, Cloud Service Provider (CSP) services, and EDB software to build fault-tolerant, high-performance data solutions. You will be instrumental in developing frontend systems that power exceptional user experiences, collaborating closely with backend engineers, designers, and product management.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop frontend systems that drive outstanding user experiences, in close collaboration with backend engineers, designers, and product management.
- Contribute to all phases of the product development lifecycle, from ideation and design through implementation, testing, deployment, and operation.
- Collaborate effectively with a globally distributed engineering team using tools such as GitHub, Jira, and Slack.
- Drive continuous improvement of our platform through knowledge sharing and mentoring within the team and across EDB.
- Approach problem-solving with an inquisitive, innovative, and detail-oriented mindset, always focusing on delivering customer value.
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience in a frontend development role.
- Proficiency in React and TypeScript.
- Experience building web applications that interact with services via HTTP REST APIs.
- Experience with Playwright or other browser-based testing automation tools.
- A strong sense of ownership over the products you build.
- Comfort working iteratively within a lightweight Scrum process and openness to feedback.
- A calm and methodical approach with good communication skills.
- Candidates must be based in Europe/UK.
What Will Give You an Edge
- Experience building UIs based on Figma designs.
- Familiarity with configuring frontend build tooling (e.g., ESLint, Prettier, tsc, Vite).
- Experience with GitHub Actions or other CI/CD systems.
- Experience with Docker and related container-based tools.
- Experience deploying and operating software on Kubernetes.
- Understanding of the PostgreSQL ecosystem and experience developing against Postgres.
- Experience working with Oracle database systems, particularly change-data-capture and REDO log interactions.
- Involvement in Open Source Software (OSS) communities.
