About the Role
This is an exciting opportunity to make a significant impact in the global employment space as a Payroll Specialist Lead, joining our Global Payroll Operations Team.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as a subject matter expert for payroll processes.
- Manage relationships with key stakeholders in Payroll Implementation, Finance, Product, and Engineering.
- Process full end-to-end payroll in-house, including statutory filings, exceptions, approvals, payments, and compliance.
- Ensure full data integrity and quality in all payroll operations.
- Perform payroll journal entries and reconciliations.
- Focus on achieving Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
- Implement and improve payroll processes.
- Mentor and support other payroll specialists.
- Provide backup support to regional managers during their absence.
Requirements
- Experience with end-to-end payroll processing, either in-house or through a payroll service provider.
- Solid understanding of payroll best practices.
- Proficiency in software tools such as Microsoft Excel and Google Suite.
- An analytical mindset with strong problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to adapt to a fast-paced, international work environment with a passion for making an impact.
- A proactive approach to identifying and implementing process improvements to enhance efficiency and speed.
- Understanding of and ability to work effectively in a largely asynchronous environment.
- Fluent in written and spoken English.
- Experience working remotely is considered a plus.
