As a nurse at Sedgwick, you will advocate for patients in a non-traditional clinical setting, applying your medical knowledge to assist in managing complex conditions, treatment planning, and recovery from illness or injury. This role offers the best of both worlds: a rewarding career making a positive impact on health and lives, combined with the flexibility of a remote work environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Apply all phases of the nursing process (assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation) when triaging calls.
  • Assess caller needs, provide appropriate care advice, and recommend disposition to the correct level of treatment, promoting cost-effective outcomes and facilitating return to work.
  • Identify the needs of callers by triaging, obtaining general health information, and/or referring to physician services.
  • Evaluate the need for alternative treatment through telephonic contact and assessment with service providers.
  • Utilize defined triage protocols to gather pertinent data and enter it into the computer system.
  • Identify life-threatening emergencies and recommend appropriate interventions.
  • Refer issues requiring physician intervention to a physician in a timely manner.
  • Direct patients to the appropriate level of care, including emergency rooms, urgent care facilities, primary treating physicians, or self-care.
  • Adhere to quality assurance standards.
  • Serve as a resource to other triage team members.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
  • Active, unrestricted RN compact licensure required.
  • Minimum of two (2) years of recent clinical practice experience.
  • Proficiency in using multiple computer applications and navigating various screens.
  • Excellent verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to think clearly and conceptually, with excellent judgment and discretion.
  • Ability to meet deadlines.
  • Proficient in computer keyboarding.
  • Ability to hear, see, and talk.

What We Offer

  • A meaningful career making a difference in the health and lives of others.
  • A flexible, remote work environment.
  • The opportunity to support injured employees from world-class brands and organizations.
  • Be part of a rapidly growing, industry-leading global company.
  • Professional development opportunities and continuing education credits.
  • Diverse and comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, 401K, and Paid Time Off (PTO), starting on your first day.
  • A dynamic company culture that values innovation, creativity, and problem-solving.
  • Recognition for your achievements.
  • Competitive hourly pay range of $34.00 - $36.00/hr.

Sedgwick is an Equal Opportunity Employer and a Drug-Free Workplace. We encourage individuals to apply even if their experience doesn't perfectly align with every qualification, as we value a diverse range of skills and knowledge.
