Staff Planner

About the Role

HHLA PLT Italy S.r.l. is seeking a dedicated Staff Planner to join our team in Trieste. This is a permanent, onsite position within the Transport/Logistics/Container Handling industry. The primary purpose of this role is to ensure that the correct number of qualified operational staff are available during shifts to meet daily operational demands and customer requirements, while also considering economic impacts.

Key Responsibilities

• Calculate staff requirements necessary to execute operations within the timeframe requested by the customer.
• Plan and schedule operative staff to meet operational needs.
• Ensure adequate staffing levels for all shifts, considering demand and customer requirements.
• Monitor and adjust staffing plans based on operational changes and unforeseen circumstances.
• Collaborate with operations management to understand daily demands and customer needs.
• Contribute to optimizing staff deployment for economic efficiency.

Requirements

• Proven experience in Staff Planning.
• Strong understanding of Logistics and Container Handling operations.
• Experience in Operations Management.
• Familiarity with Demand Planning principles.
• Ability to calculate and manage staff requirements effectively.
• Understanding of economic impacts related to staffing.
