Thermo Fisher Scientific is seeking an experienced and dynamic Director, Corporate Counsel to join our Pharma Services Group, specifically supporting the Drug Product Division (DPD) across Europe and Asia Pacific (EU/APAC). This is an executive-level, onsite position based in Monza, Italy.
About the Role
Reporting directly to the VP and Lead Counsel, DPD, you will play a critical role in shaping and executing the legal strategy for the DPD-EU/APAC region. You will be instrumental in developing and implementing robust legal policies and procedures, ensuring compliance and mitigating risk across our operations. This leadership position also involves building and managing a team of legal professionals and taking ownership of all legal aspects pertaining to the DPD's business operations in the specified regions.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement comprehensive legal policies and procedures for the Drug Product Division in Europe and Asia Pacific.
- Oversee and manage all legal aspects of DPD operations within the EU/APAC regions.
- Build, lead, and mentor a team of legal professionals.
- Provide expert legal counsel and strategic guidance to business leaders.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and company policies.
- Manage and resolve legal disputes and mitigate potential risks.
Requirements
- Proven experience as Corporate Counsel, with a strong understanding of legal policies and procedures.
- Experience within the pharmaceutical or healthcare industry is highly desirable.
- Specific experience related to Drug Product operations is a significant advantage.
- Demonstrated leadership and team management capabilities.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and analytical skills.
