About the Role

We are seeking a highly autonomous and pragmatic Lead Product Engineer to help transform an early-stage product into a scalable, production-ready platform serving real customers. This is a hands-on individual contributor role focused on delivering product features, improving user workflows, integrating data sources, and building rich, data-driven experiences. You will work directly with company leadership and play a key role in shaping both the product roadmap and technical direction. The ideal candidate enjoys wearing multiple hats, solving business problems through technology, and thrives in startup environments where ownership, speed, and execution are critical.

Key Responsibilities

• Build and enhance buyer-facing and administrative web experiences.
• Develop dashboards, reporting tools, and data visualization features.
• Design and implement SQL-backed workflows and product functionality.
• Integrate internal and third-party REST APIs.
• Collaborate directly with founders and stakeholders to translate business needs into product features.
• Improve usability, performance, reliability, and maintainability across the platform.
• Help shape technical decisions and contribute to product roadmap discussions.
• Leverage modern AI-assisted development tools to accelerate delivery and improve engineering productivity.
• Operate with a high degree of ownership and autonomy in a fast-paced startup environment.

Requirements

• Product Engineering Experience:
  • 5+ years of experience building customer-facing SaaS products, marketplaces, dashboards, admin portals, analytics platforms, or B2B web applications.
  • Proven ability to independently deliver product features from concept to production.
• Web Development:
  • Strong experience building responsive and user-friendly web applications with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
  • Strong understanding of browser fundamentals and modern web development practices.
• APIs & Integrations:
  • Experience designing and consuming REST APIs.
  • Experience integrating third-party services and data sources.
• Data & Databases:
  • Strong SQL skills.
  • Experience working with PostgreSQL or similar relational databases.
  • Comfortable working with data-intensive applications and business workflows.
• Engineering Practices:
  • Experience using Git and modern development workflows.
  • Strong debugging, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to balance speed and quality in a startup environment.
• Communication & Ownership:
  • Excellent English communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Strong sense of accountability and product ownership.
• AI-Assisted Development:
  • Experience leveraging AI tools such as Cursor, Claude, ChatGPT, GitHub Copilot, or similar tools as part of the software development process.

Nice to Have

• Experience with Supabase or PostgREST.
• Experience with data visualization libraries (e.g., ECharts, D3, Chart.js, Recharts).
• Experience with Docker and modern deployment workflows.
• Experience building data marketplaces, analytics platforms, or buyer-facing B2B products.
• Familiarity with Snowflake Marketplace or similar data ecosystems.
• Exposure to JVM-based technologies or Scala.
• Knowledge of data science, survey methodology, cryptography, identity systems, or Web3 technologies.
