Paid Media Manager

At Cision, we believe in empowering every individual to make an impact. Your voice is heard, your ideas are valued, and your unique perspective fuels our collective success. Join our global team in an environment that champions curiosity, collaboration, and innovation, and make meaningful contributions to the brands we accelerate.

About the Role

As a Paid Media Manager, you will lead the planning, execution, and optimisation of paid media campaigns across digital channels, with a primary focus on paid social (LinkedIn, Meta). Your goal will be to drive demand generation, audience engagement, and business growth. You will leverage data, insights, and testing methodologies to maximise campaign performance, identify new opportunities, and deliver measurable results. Working closely with cross-functional teams, you will translate marketing objectives into effective media strategies, ensuring campaigns are executed efficiently, on time, and in line with best practices.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, manage, and optimise paid social campaigns, supporting paid search activations where necessary to drive performance and achieve business objectives.
  • Support the planning and execution of paid media strategies aligned with demand generation, engagement, and growth goals.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams, including content, creative, and marketing stakeholders, to ensure paid media activities support broader campaign objectives.
  • Monitor, analyse, and report on campaign performance, using data and insights to identify opportunities for optimisation and improved results.
  • Design and execute A/B tests to evaluate audience targeting, creative messaging, bidding strategies, and channel effectiveness.
  • Drive continuous improvement through conversion rate optimisation, attribution analysis, and performance measurement best practices.
  • Identify and implement optimisation opportunities to maximise campaign effectiveness, return on investment, and overall marketing impact.
  • Maintain accurate campaign documentation, including plans, test results, performance insights, and key learnings.
  • Ensure all paid media activities comply with internal processes, policies, and quality standards.
  • Stay up to date with digital advertising trends, platform developments, and industry best practices, bringing new ideas and opportunities to the team.
  • Support additional marketing initiatives and projects as required to meet evolving business needs.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in paid media, digital marketing, or performance marketing, ideally with 5+ years of experience managing campaigns across multiple digital channels.
  • Strong understanding of paid search, paid social, and digital advertising principles, including campaign planning, optimisation, targeting, and performance measurement.
  • Experience using advertising and analytics platforms such as Google Ads, LinkedIn Campaign Manager, Meta Ads Manager, Google Analytics, or similar tools.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data, identify trends, and translate insights into actionable recommendations.
  • Experience monitoring campaign performance and implementing optimisation strategies to improve results and return on investment.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across marketing, creative, and business teams.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects, priorities, and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • High attention to detail and a commitment to delivering accurate, high-quality work.
  • A proactive approach to problem-solving, with the ability to identify opportunities and drive continuous improvement.
  • A bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or a related field is desirable, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and relevant experience.
  • Candidates must be based in the UK for this onsite role.
