Louco Event Media GmbH is seeking a skilled DevOps Engineer to join our team on a remote, freelance basis. As an AI-powered event discovery platform, we are dedicated to helping users find events that perfectly match their interests. We are preparing for our next growth phase and need a hands-on engineer to support our infrastructure, deployments, security, and scalability.

This is an excellent opportunity for a mid-level professional looking for a part-time role (approximately 20-40 hours per month initially) with the potential for increased involvement over time.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and optimize our cloud infrastructure.
• Maintain development, staging, and production environments.
• Build and improve CI/CD pipelines.
• Support deployments and release processes.
• Monitor system uptime, performance, and security.
• Implement backup and disaster recovery strategies.
• Configure domains, SSL certificates, and networking.
• Assist developers with infrastructure-related queries.
• Enhance scalability, reliability, and overall system performance.

Requirements

Must Have:

• Strong Linux administration skills.
• Experience with Hetzner Cloud or similar cloud environments.
• Proficiency in Docker and container management.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines, specifically GitHub Actions.
• Solid understanding of PostgreSQL.
• Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools.
• Knowledge of security best practices.
• Understanding of DNS, SSL, and networking concepts.
• Experience with backup and disaster recovery principles.

Nice to Have:

• Experience with Supabase.
• Familiarity with Nginx or Traefik.
• Knowledge of Terraform.
• Experience with Kubernetes.
• Understanding of mobile app infrastructure.
• Previous experience working in a startup environment.
