DevOps Engineer (Part-Time, Remote)
Louco Event Media GmbH is seeking a skilled DevOps Engineer to join our team on a remote, freelance basis. As an AI-powered event discovery platform, we are dedicated to helping users find events that perfectly match their interests. We are preparing for our next growth phase and need a hands-on engineer to support our infrastructure, deployments, security, and scalability.
This is an excellent opportunity for a mid-level professional looking for a part-time role (approximately 20-40 hours per month initially) with the potential for increased involvement over time.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and optimize our cloud infrastructure.
- Maintain development, staging, and production environments.
- Build and improve CI/CD pipelines.
- Support deployments and release processes.
- Monitor system uptime, performance, and security.
- Implement backup and disaster recovery strategies.
- Configure domains, SSL certificates, and networking.
- Assist developers with infrastructure-related queries.
- Enhance scalability, reliability, and overall system performance.

Requirements
Must Have:
- Strong Linux administration skills.
- Experience with Hetzner Cloud or similar cloud environments.
- Proficiency in Docker and container management.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines, specifically GitHub Actions.
- Solid understanding of PostgreSQL.
- Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools.
- Knowledge of security best practices.
- Understanding of DNS, SSL, and networking concepts.
- Experience with backup and disaster recovery principles.
Nice to Have:
- Experience with Supabase.
- Familiarity with Nginx or Traefik.
- Knowledge of Terraform.
- Experience with Kubernetes.
- Understanding of mobile app infrastructure.
- Previous experience working in a startup environment.
