HR Services Contact Center Associate
The Home Depot is seeking a dedicated and customer-focused HR Services Contact Center Associate to join their HR Service Center team in Atlanta. This is a permanent, onsite, junior-level position.
About the Role
As a Contact Center Associate, you will be a vital part of a team providing high-quality customer service to Home Depot associates and managers. You will handle inbound and outbound calls, faxes, and emails related to pay and HR issues, ensuring that all caller needs are met efficiently and effectively.
Key Responsibilities
- Handle a high volume of inbound calls, identifying and documenting issues.
- Process necessary transactions or escalate issues to Tier II for further research and resolution.
- Provide transactional support for organizational changes as needed.
- Process transaction requests received via call, mail, fax, or email.
- Deliver exceptional customer service in every interaction.
- Participate in special projects as assigned (approximately 10% of the role).
Requirements
- Must be eighteen years of age or older.
- Must be legally permitted to work in the United States.
- High school diploma or GED.
- Minimum of 1 year of work experience.
- Basic computer and phone knowledge, including experience with DOS applications.
- Exceptional customer service and phone skills.
- Proven ability to perform in a fast-paced and unpredictable environment.
- Ability to navigate through multiple computer applications simultaneously during a call.
- Careful attention to detail.
- Strong typing skills.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Associate Degree, some college education, or HR experience in a shared services environment.
- Experience with Case Management applications.
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
- Patience, teamwork, self-motivation, and a positive attitude.
- Adaptability and flexibility.
- History of punctuality and good attendance.
- Ability to use probing questions to identify the root cause of a problem.
- Bilingual in Spanish is a plus, but not required.
