The Istituto Italiano di Tecnologia (IIT) is seeking a motivated Technologist to join the IRIDE project, focused on "InAs-based RoHS compliant Infrared emitting quantum Dots for optoElectronics." This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to cutting-edge research in a dynamic, international environment.

About the Role

This position involves hands-on work in the synthesis of advanced nanomaterials and their characterization using state-of-the-art electron microscopy techniques. You will be an integral part of a project dedicated to developing novel infrared emitting quantum dots for optoelectronic applications.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform synthesis of InAs-based quantum dots.
• Conduct electron microscope imaging and analysis.
• Characterize the optical and structural properties of synthesized nanomaterials.
• Contribute to data analysis and reporting.
• Collaborate with research scientists and other team members.

Requirements

• Proven experience in Nanocrystal Synthesis.
• Proficiency in Electron Microscope Imaging techniques.
• Familiarity with Quantum Dots.
• Understanding of Optoelectronics principles.
• Experience with Infrared emitting materials is a plus.
