About the Role

We are seeking a Senior Data Engineer to join our dynamic team. You will be instrumental in developing end-to-end technical solutions, ensuring their performance, security, scalability, and robust data integration. This is a remote position based in Latin America.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement production-ready technical solutions for data engineering challenges.
• Ensure the performance, security, scalability, and reliability of data integrations.
• Write, debug, and optimize SQL queries.
• Create detailed solution documentation, including Proofs of Concept (POCs), roadmaps, sequence diagrams, and logical system views.
• Deliver detailed presentations to clients and stakeholders.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver cutting-edge data solutions.

Requirements

• A minimum of 4 years of experience as a Data Engineer, Software Engineer, or Data Analyst.
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, Python, and/or Scala.
• Experience with core cloud data platforms including Snowflake, AWS, Azure, Databricks, and GCP.
• Strong SQL skills, with the ability to write, debug, and optimize complex queries.
• Client-facing English communication skills (written and verbal).
• Experience in creating and delivering detailed presentations.
• A 4-year Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.

Preferred Qualifications

• Production experience with core data platforms like Snowflake, AWS, Azure, GCP, Hadoop, or Databricks.
• Experience with cloud and distributed data storage systems (e.g., S3, ADLS, HDFS, GCS, Cassandra).
• Familiarity with data integration technologies such as Spark, Kafka, Fivetran, or Azure DataFactory.
• Experience working with multiple data sources (e.g., queues, relational databases, files, APIs).
• Experience across the complete software development lifecycle, including design, documentation, implementation, testing, and deployment.
• Experience with automated data transformation and data curation tools like dbt or Spark.
• Experience with workflow management and orchestration tools such as Airflow or NiFi.
