The Istituto Italiano di Tecnologia (IIT) is seeking two Postdoctoral Researchers to join the Center for Robotics and Intelligent Systems in Genova. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to cutting-edge research within the Horizon Europe TORNADO project.

About the Role

These positions focus on the application of foundation models to robot programming and control. You will be working with robots operating in dynamic and unpredictable environments, pushing the boundaries of intelligent automation.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement foundation models for robot programming.
• Design and test control systems for robots in dynamic and unpredictable environments.
• Contribute to the TORNADO project objectives.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary research team.

Requirements

• PhD in a relevant field (e.g., Computer Science, Robotics, Artificial Intelligence, Control Engineering).
• Strong background in foundation models.
• Experience with robot programming.
• Knowledge of control systems.
• Familiarity with working in dynamic and unpredictable environments.
