About the Role

Mears Group PLC is seeking a dedicated Caretaker to join their local team in Medway. In this field-based role, you will be responsible for maintaining Housing properties to a high standard, ensuring excellent customer service, and adhering to all safety, quality, and cost control standards. This position comes with a company van and fuel card for travel.

Key Responsibilities

• Undertake high standard Caretaking works to Housing properties.
• Deliver best-in-class customer service.
• Ensure cleaning, repairs, and maintenance are completed in accordance with agreed protocols and timeframes.
• Proactively manage PPM (Planned Preventative Maintenance) safety compliance on all blocks.
• Schedule upcoming works, including Fire Risk Assessments, seasonal upkeep, and safety checks, at necessary intervals.

Requirements

• Experience in Caretaking and/or Cleaning.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Good numeracy skills.
• Ability to understand and follow standard operating procedures.
• Ability to use a PDA following training.
• Must have the entitlement to work within the UK.
• To drive a Mears vehicle, you must be aged over 21, have held your licence for over 3 months, and have less than 9 points.
