About the Role
The Systems Administrator will be responsible for the day-to-day support of the ATC's core storage, compute, and virtual services. This role reports to the ATC Systems & Cloud Manager and is crucial for ensuring the smooth operation of our advanced technology environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide first-level support for customers utilizing ATC core systems and services.
- Troubleshoot common system issues and collaborate with engineers and architects to resolve complex technical problems.
- Communicate with ATC stakeholders via ServiceNow, email, or instant messaging.
- Document troubleshooting steps and solutions in ServiceNow or on the Wiki.
- Provision storage, compute, and virtual environments to support customer engagements (labs, Proofs of Concept, demos).
- Offer guidance to ATC stakeholders on storage, compute, and virtualization for customer engagements.
- Monitor critical ATC services and support queues.
- Assist with regular maintenance activities and maintain ATC core services.
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
Requirements
- College degree or equivalent work experience.
- 1+ years of systems administration experience.
- Experience with ServiceNow ticketing system.
- Experience with VMware, Linux, and Windows technologies.
- Experience with NetApp storage arrays.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud Platform is a plus.
- VMware, NetApp, Linux, or Windows certifications are preferred but not required.
- Customer service-focused with the ability to troubleshoot complex problems.
- Strong ability to understand and document complex solutions.
- Detail-oriented with excellent verbal and writing skills.
- Ability to convey complex ideas clearly.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to changing priorities.
