Michael Page is seeking a skilled Grid Connection Engineer to join a dynamic team in the renewable energy sector. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the development, design, construction, and commissioning of renewable energy projects, including solar (PV), wind, and battery energy storage systems (BESS).

About the Role

As a Grid Connection Engineer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the seamless integration of renewable energy assets into the existing power grid. You will be involved in all project phases, from initial development through to final commissioning, working closely with internal teams and external stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

• Support and manage grid connection activities throughout the project lifecycle (development, design, construction, and commissioning).
• Perform and/or review essential power system studies, including load flow, short circuit, voltage control, and harmonic analysis.
• Assist in the preparation of grid connection applications and all necessary technical documentation for Transmission System Operators (TSOs) and Distribution System Operators (DSOs).
• Contribute to the design and optimization of High Voltage (HV) and Medium Voltage (MV) electrical systems, substations, and interconnection solutions.
• Ensure strict compliance with all applicable grid codes and relevant regulations.

Requirements

• Proven experience in grid connection activities within the energy sector.
• Proficiency in performing power system studies (load flow, short circuit, voltage control, harmonics).
• Solid understanding of HV/MV electrical systems.
• Experience with renewable energy projects, specifically PV, wind, and BESS.
• Familiarity with grid code requirements and technical documentation for TSOs/DSOs.
