Freelance Designer
PowerLines · Washington, Washington, District of Columbia, United States
Job Description
Freelance Designer (Remote, Contract)
PowerLines is a national nonprofit organization dedicated to modernizing the utility regulatory system to benefit American energy consumers. We focus on state public utilities commissions (PUCs), which significantly influence utility bills, energy investments, and new energy project development. As utility bills rise, PowerLines is becoming a leading voice in shaping the national conversation, with recognition from TIME100 Next and features in major publications.

The ideal candidate is a skilled visual communicator with experience in both print and digital design, strong organizational and time management abilities, and the flexibility to adapt to changing priorities. You will collaborate with our policy and communications teams to create compelling graphics and materials that advance PowerLines' mission and engage the public, bridging the gap between complex utility regulations and consumer understanding.
