Intern - Assessing and Addressing The Nexus Between Organized Crime and Terrorism in Africa

About the Role

The United Nations Interregional Crime and Justice Research Institute (UNICRI) is seeking an intern to support its work on assessing and addressing the nexus between organized crime and terrorism in Africa. UNICRI is a United Nations entity established in 1968 to assist countries worldwide in preventing crime and facilitating criminal justice.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct research on the links between organized crime and terrorism in Africa.
• Assist in the formulation and implementation of policies related to crime prevention and criminal justice.
• Support UNICRI's mandate to assist intergovernmental, governmental, and non-governmental organizations.

Requirements

• Interest in crime prevention, criminal justice, policy, research, and terrorism.
• Strong research and analytical skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a multicultural environment.
