About the Role

Aviatrix is seeking a motivated Member of Technical Staff (MTS) - Cloud Test to join our Engineering Release & Test (ERT) team. The ERT team is responsible for ensuring all Aviatrix releases meet enterprise-grade standards. In this role, you will focus on testing and automating small to medium-sized features under the guidance of senior engineers. This is an excellent opportunity for an early-career engineer passionate about quality, cloud networking, and automation to contribute to enterprise software delivery.

Key Responsibilities

• Own test execution and automation for features across the Aviatrix platform.
• Develop, maintain, and enhance automated test cases for integration, end-to-end, and system integration testing.
• Analyze system logs, triage issues, identify and report bugs, and prepare test reports.
• Reproduce and investigate customer-found defects in a lab environment to aid in root cause analysis.
• Track and help reduce functional test case flakiness to improve release reliability.
• Collaborate with the development team and senior ERT engineers to understand feature requirements and contribute to test planning.
• Participate in code reviews, focusing on testability and reliability.
• Contribute to quality improvements beyond your core feature area as you grow.

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or a related field. New graduates are encouraged to apply.
• 0-3 years of experience in software development, test engineering, or a related technical role (internship or project experience is considered).
• Foundational coding skills in at least one of the following languages: Python, Golang, C++, or Java.
• Basic understanding of networking concepts, test frameworks, and cloud technologies.
• Familiarity with at least one public cloud provider (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP, OCI).
• Exposure to CI/CD concepts and pipelines.

Preferred Qualifications

• Exposure to or coursework in test frameworks (e.g., pytest, Go testing).
• Familiarity with Terraform or other infrastructure-as-code tools.
• Exposure to GitHub Actions, Docker, or Kubernetes.
• Familiarity with observability tools (e.g., Grafana, Prometheus, Datadog).

Compensation and Benefits

• US Pay Range: $XXX,XXX-$XXX,XXX annually (base salary) + benefits + 401(k) match + equity. Bonus eligibility applies.
