About the Role
Avum Inc. is seeking a dedicated Scrum Master to facilitate Agile delivery for assigned development and QA teams. In this role, you will lead Scrum ceremonies, remove impediments, coordinate with Release Management, and ensure teams consistently deliver value through each sprint.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead Scrum ceremonies, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives for assigned teams.
- Coordinate with the Release Manager on release scoping and deployment readiness.
- Track and report on sprint metrics, team velocity, and team health.
- Remove impediments and facilitate the resolution of cross-team dependencies.
- Coach team members on Agile principles and foster self-organization.
- Manage the JIRA backlog and sprint boards.
- Coordinate with government testers on acceptance testing and feedback.
Requirements
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
- A minimum of 3 years of experience working as a Scrum Master.
- Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or Professional Scrum Master (PSM) certification.
- Active Secret security clearance.
- U.S. citizenship is required.
- Proficiency with JIRA and Confluence.
Preferred Qualifications
- SAFe Scrum Master or PMI-Agile Certified Practitioner (PMI-ACP) certification.
- A technical background in software development.
- Experience working in government/DoD Agile environments.
- Experience coordinating distributed teams.
What We Offer
- Compensation: The salary range for this position is $95,000 – $135,000 annually, with a target midpoint of $115,000. Actual compensation will be determined based on experience, qualifications, certifications, and geographic location.
