About the Role

This role focuses on designing, developing, and maintaining robust .NET C# applications, with a strong emphasis on API development and database interaction. You will play a key part in our ongoing shift towards cloud technologies and have the chance to work with cutting-edge integrations.

Key Responsibilities

• API Development: Design, build, and maintain RESTful APIs using .NET C#, ensuring high performance, reliability, and security.
• Data Management: Develop efficient data models with Entity Framework (preferably EF Core) and write optimized SQL queries for relational databases.
• Cloud Transition: Contribute to new development initiatives leveraging Azure services as we migrate from on-premises infrastructure.
• Machine Learning Integration: Collaborate with stakeholders to integrate machine learning models via RESTful APIs or Azure ML services.
• Code Quality: Write clean, maintainable, testable, and well-documented code following best practices.
• Collaboration: Work effectively with fellow developers and business partners to deliver secure and scalable solutions.
• CI/CD: Support continuous integration and delivery processes, potentially using tools like GitHub Actions.
• Troubleshooting: Investigate and resolve performance issues, bugs, and bottlenecks in existing systems.

Requirements

• A minimum of 5 years of professional experience in .NET C# development.
• Proficiency with Entity Framework (preferably EF Core).
• Strong command of SQL, including complex query writing and optimization.
• Proven experience building RESTful APIs with ASP.NET or ASP.NET Core.
• Familiarity with version control systems, particularly Git.
• Solid problem-solving and debugging skills.
• Ability to communicate effectively and work both independently and as part of a team.

Nice-to-Haves

• Exposure to Azure services such as App Services, Azure SQL, and Azure Functions.
• Basic understanding of integrating machine learning models via APIs or Azure ML.
• Familiarity with OData, microservices, and distributed systems concepts.
• Experience writing unit tests (e.g., xUnit, NUnit, MSTest).
• Knowledge of CI/CD practices, especially using GitHub Actions.
• Interest or experience in DevOps practices and automation.
