Chinese Interpreter/Translator - FAO Rome

The Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) is seeking a qualified Chinese Interpreter/Translator to join our team in Rome, Italy. This is an on-site position with a contract duration of 11 months.

About the Role

This role is crucial for supporting FAO's commitment to linguistic diversity within its Governing Bodies Servicing unit. You will be instrumental in facilitating communication and ensuring accurate translation of materials.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide interpretation services for meetings and events.
• Translate documents and other materials from Chinese to English and vice versa.
• Contribute to maintaining FAO's linguistic diversity.

Requirements

• Proven experience as an interpreter and translator.
• Fluency in Chinese.
• Strong understanding of linguistic diversity principles.
