About the Role
The E-commerce Sales Manager will be responsible for sourcing new customers and developing profitable new business account relationships within the e-commerce sector. This role reports to the Head of eCommerce for Poland, Germany, and the Nordics.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop profitable new business account relationships by identifying opportunities based on client, market, product, and service knowledge.
- Build and sustain relationships with existing and new technical, referral, and gateway partners in the region to acquire mid-market merchants.
- Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with key clients that generate significant income for the company.
- Address and manage client challenges and serve as the primary point of contact between key clients and internal teams.
- Independently acquire mid-market merchants, leveraging expertise in the payment industry.
- Analyze customer needs and develop end-to-end strategies from contract negotiation to final activation.
Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years of sales experience in the payments industry, with at least 2 years specifically in e-commerce payments.
- Fluency in written and spoken business English is mandatory.
- Demonstrated knowledge and network within the B2B payment sector.
- Completed university studies or equivalent qualifications.
- Strong rhetorical and analytical skills, confident presentation, robust negotiation skills, and a drive to succeed.
- Experience and knowledge of the market and payments industry.
- Essential marketing and business development/sales skills.
- Good communication skills across various mediums (telephone, video conferencing, in-person meetings).
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office 365.
Advantageous Skills
- Knowledge of product marketing and organizational operations.
- Knowledge of technology and payment gateway providers.
- Familiarity with CRM/IT systems such as Salesforce, MS 365, Seismic, or Co-Pilot.
