About the Role

As a Systems Engineer, you will be instrumental in leading the technical aspects of the sales cycle for enterprise customers. This includes managing initial RFIs, RFPs, and RFQs, as well as actively participating in Proofs of Concept (POCs) in collaboration with internal teams and customer/partner stakeholders. You will serve as the primary technical point of contact, working closely with your sales partner to understand and address customer technical requirements, building solutions that exceed expectations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead all technical aspects of the sales cycle, from initial inquiries to proposal responses.
  • Manage and actively participate in POCs with internal teams and customer/partner stakeholders.
  • Understand customer technical requirements and develop compelling solutions.
  • Act as the primary technical point of contact for customers and partners.
  • Continuously enhance knowledge of Fortinet products, solutions, and the competitive landscape.
  • Effectively present Fortinet solutions remotely and in person through various technical formats.
  • Manage multiple deals simultaneously, ensuring a positive customer experience.
  • Maintain accurate customer and prospect information in Salesforce CRM.

Requirements

  • A strong aptitude for security technology, including encryption and authentication.
  • Knowledge of network security, intrusion detection, anti-virus, routing, switching, LAN, and WAN is desirable.
  • Previous experience in a pre-sales engineer role, managing the end-to-end technical aspects of deals.
  • Demonstrated problem-solving skills and the ability to impact key wins.
  • Proven ability to build and maintain customer relationships.
  • Effective communication skills, capable of conveying technical information to diverse stakeholders.
  • Understanding of one or more solutions such as SD-WAN, ZTNA, IAM, Firewall, Switching and Wireless, SecOps, or Cloud Security.
  • CISSP accreditation is beneficial.
