Marqeta is seeking a dynamic GTM Strategy & Operations Manager to join our team in the UK. This role is crucial in building and executing a best-in-class sales strategy and operations for our EU/UK region. You will partner closely with the Sales team, leveraging insights to refine internal sales processes and operational activities, ultimately maximizing sales productivity.
About the Role
As a key member of our Go-To-Market (GTM) team, you will play an integral part in shaping the success of our sales organization. Your responsibilities will span core areas including sales performance reporting, cross-functional collaboration to enhance sales efficiency, and driving strategic planning initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Support sales strategy development, quota setting, and account assignments within the EU region.
- Drive annual planning activities, including revenue growth projections and headcount planning, with a specific focus on:
- Account management engagement cadence and templates.
- Account planning strategies for growth and expansion versus revenue maintenance.
- Manage the sales funnel through data, systems, strategy, and process, including sales pipeline and forecast management. Ensure forecast accuracy, overall pipeline health, and drive a consistent global approach.
- Support goal setting, tracking, and performance measurement for the business.
- Assist team leadership in key activities to develop the team and foster thought leadership.
Requirements
- 8+ years of proven experience managing a complex Sales Operations function that supports growth in a FinTech or modern payments sales environment.
- Relevant Global Market experience.
- Experience with enterprise-level accounts and engaging customers of this scale.
- Outstanding problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to conduct research, analyze data, develop hypotheses, and synthesize recommendations for executive-level audiences.
- A track record in excellent process design and documentation, ideally including onboarding process optimization in regulated payments organizations.
- Experience with data and analytics, and translating insights into customer value (ideally some AI experience).
- Ability to think strategically and execute operations effectively.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with meticulous attention to detail.
- Proven ability to develop tactical initiatives that improve sales productivity and performance.
- A self-starter capable of operating independently with minimal supervision.

Please Note: This is a hybrid role requiring employees to be based within 35 miles of our London office. You will be expected to work on-site two days a week (Tuesday and Thursday), with the flexibility to work remotely on other days.
