About the Role
As a Localization Quality Assurance (LQA) Game Tester, you will be an integral part of our LQA team. You will be among the first to experience localized game content, including translated text, images, and user interfaces, ensuring it is ready for end-users. Working within a multilingual project team, your primary goal is to guarantee the game is free from grammatical errors, cultural inconsistencies, and accurately localized into the target language. Our LQA team conducts language checks on upcoming games across various platforms, including PC, Xbox Series X/S, PS5, Nintendo Switch, PlayStation VR2, and mobile devices.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with a global project team.
- Identify and correct spelling, grammar, punctuation, and other language errors.
- Ensure adherence to console manufacturer guidelines.
- Log details of errors and issues, providing improvement suggestions.
- Ensure accurate translation within context and maintain consistency in terminology and imagery.
- Identify missing or incorrect content and ensure proper display/format of dates, calendars, and characters.
- Write reports on errors and bugs found and perform ad hoc translation.
- Oversee the quality of your work and contribute to overall project success.
Requirements
- Fluency in English.
- Strong cultural understanding of the English language.
- Computer literacy, particularly with Microsoft Excel.
- Robust internet research skills.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Previous experience with various software, applications, and websites is beneficial.
- Ability to communicate clearly and concisely and collaborate within project teams.
- Candidates must be located within the Schengen Area.
- No prior experience is required; full training will be provided.
