Antal International is seeking a dynamic and experienced Director of Engineering to join a prestigious 5-star luxury hotel located in Milan, Italy. This is a permanent, onsite position offering a fantastic opportunity to lead the engineering department in a renowned hospitality establishment.

About the Role

As the Director of Engineering, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the hotel's engineering operations, ensuring the smooth and efficient functioning of all building systems and facilities. You will play a crucial role in maintaining the high standards expected of a luxury property.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and execute preventive and ordinary maintenance programs for all hotel facilities and equipment.
• Ensure all engineering operations comply with safety regulations and hotel standards.
• Oversee a team of engineering staff, providing guidance and support.
• Manage budgets and control costs related to engineering operations.
• Respond to and resolve maintenance issues promptly and effectively.
• Uphold excellent customer service standards in all engineering-related interactions.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science/Arts degree or equivalent work experience.
• 2-4 years of experience in a similar engineering leadership role.
• Previous experience in Engineering within the Hospitality or Retail industries is essential.
• Demonstrated experience in preventive and ordinary maintenance.
• Strong customer service and interpersonal skills.
• System-related professional certifications are desired.
• Knowledge of English and Italian languages is an advantage.
