About the Role
This is a remote position for a mid-level engineer based in the Netherlands or Germany. You will play a crucial role in managing our cloud infrastructure, automating processes, and ensuring the reliability, scalability, and security of our platform. You will collaborate with development and operations teams and contribute to the adoption of AI-assisted operations (AIOps).
What You Will Do
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Cloud Infrastructure & Operations:
- Manage cloud infrastructure, networking, DNS, certificates, VPN, and security controls.
- Ensure platform reliability, performance, and cost efficiency.
- Platform Engineering & Automation:
- Develop and maintain Infrastructure-as-Code using Terraform and Ansible.
- Manage CI/CD pipelines, Kubernetes clusters, and deployment processes.
- Support application deployments and platform integrations.
- Administer and secure Linux-based environments (Oracle Linux and Ubuntu).
- Monitoring & Reliability:
- Maintain observability, alerting, and operational dashboards.
- Improve incident response, root-cause analysis, and operational excellence.
- AIOps & Innovation:
- Evaluate and adopt AI-assisted tooling to deliver measurable value.
- Contribute to the evolution from traditional DevOps towards intelligent operations.
What We Are Looking For
Required Skills & Experience:
- Hands-on experience in DevOps, SysOps, or Cloud Operations.
- Proficiency in Linux administration (Oracle Linux and/or Ubuntu).
- Experience with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) or comparable hyperscalers (AWS, Azure, GCP).
- Proficiency in Infrastructure-as-Code with Terraform and/or Ansible.
- Experience with CI/CD using Jenkins and GitLab.
- Experience with Kubernetes cluster operations.
- Solid understanding of networking fundamentals: DNS, TLS/PKI, VPN, load balancing.
AI & AIOps Orientation (Key Differentiator):
- Genuine curiosity about how AI is transforming infrastructure and operations.
- Familiarity with AIOps, MLOps, or AI-in-DevOps trends.
- Comfortable using AI coding assistants and critically evaluating their output.
- Enthusiasm for the evolving role of DevOps.
Personal Attributes:
- Self-starter, analytical, and a strong troubleshooter.
- Clear communicator, comfortable discussing technical and AI topics with diverse audiences.
- Collaborative and knowledge-sharing by nature.
- Flexible with working hours.
- Fluent in English; Russian and Dutch are considered a plus.
