The Opportunity

Abbott Rapid Diagnostics is seeking a Sales Representative for its Infectious Disease division in the Netherlands. This remote, field-based role will focus on promoting Abbott's innovative point-of-care (POC) diagnostic solutions within Primary & Secondary Care sectors. You will be instrumental in achieving sales objectives, developing key accounts, and driving market development within your assigned territory.

Key Responsibilities

  • Drive market development and cultivate strong, sustainable customer relationships to meet sales targets.
  • Promote, position, and execute the Abbott RDx Infectious Disease product portfolio within the assigned territory.
  • Prepare customized proposals for customers and manage the complete contract process.
  • Monitor market trends and competitor activities, providing regular insights and reporting.
  • Deliver product and application training to customers in the region.
  • Represent Abbott at industry events, including round tables, conferences, and exhibitions.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of customer interactions and sales activities in the CRM system.

Required Qualifications & Skills

  • Proven sales experience within the laboratory diagnostics market in the Netherlands.
  • Demonstrated success in acquiring new business and building lasting, trust-based customer relationships.
  • Results-oriented with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
  • Strong ability to articulate product features, benefits, solutions, value propositions, and total cost of ownership.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and a consultative approach to understanding and addressing customer needs.

  • Fluency in Dutch and English is required.
  • Willingness to travel (approximately 70-80%).
