Abbott's innovative Heart Failure (HF) business is seeking a passionate and driven Regional Sales Manager to lead the commercial team in transforming patient outcomes through cutting-edge cardiovascular technologies. This is a brand-new opportunity resulting from significant expansion, focused on growing the adoption and clinical excellence of our CardioMEMS Heart Failure portfolio.

Region of Responsibility: North UK (from Birmingham up to Scotland) Ideal Candidate Locations: Sheffield / Leeds / Manchester Work Model: Remote Contract: Permanent

About the Role

As a Regional Sales Manager, you will be responsible for generating new CardioMEMS business and growing existing accounts within your assigned region. You will own regional performance, operating autonomously in alignment with the Country Manager UKI.

Key Responsibilities

  • Market & Growth Strategy:
    • Identify market opportunities and drive regional growth plans aligned to revenue targets.
    • Set clear sales objectives and translate them into actionable plans with Territory Managers.
    • Lead account planning and market access initiatives to expand adoption.
  • Sales Execution & Account Management:
    • Drive the execution of account strategies to achieve sales targets.
    • Support key customer engagements and value-based selling alongside Territory Managers.
    • Lead regional sales reviews and provide accurate forecasts and insights to leadership.
  • Leadership & People Development:
    • Build and develop a high-performing sales team through coaching and performance management.
    • Foster a culture of accountability, feedback, and continuous improvement.
  • Stakeholder Engagement:
    • Build strong relationships with key customers, Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs), and healthcare stakeholders.
    • Collaborate cross-functionally to support market access and product adoption.
  • Governance & Compliance:
    • Ensure all activities meet ethical, legal, and regulatory standards.
    • Act as a role model for compliance, promptly addressing any issues.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience.
  • Proven middle management experience within the medical devices industry.
  • Strong results orientation with excellent decision-making, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead change, think strategically, and work proactively with high self-motivation.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Flexible and adaptable leadership style, able to engage diverse teams.
  • High standards of integrity with a strong commitment to ethical and legal compliance.
