Tongues Translation Services LLC is seeking a talented and detail-oriented Caption Translator to join our dynamic project team. This is a fully remote position, offering flexibility to work from anywhere.

As a Caption Translator, you will play a crucial role in ensuring accurate and culturally relevant translations for a variety of content. You will collaborate closely with fellow translators and report directly to the project manager, contributing to the successful delivery of our translation projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Translate captions and subtitles from English to Italian.
• Perform Machine Translation Post Editing (MTPE) to refine machine-generated translations.
• Engage in transcreation to adapt content creatively while maintaining its original intent and impact.
• Translate various forms of content, including but not limited to:
  • Captions and subtitles
  • Documents
  • Web pages
  • Software interfaces

Requirements

To excel in this role, you should possess:

• A natural and fluent understanding of the Italian language.
• A strong grasp of Italian grammar and syntax.
• Proven experience in translation, with a focus on captioning and subtitling.
• Familiarity with MTPE and transcreation techniques.
