DNV Maritime, a leading classification society, is seeking a dedicated Newbuilding Surveyor to join our NB&CMC (Newbuilding & Certification-Verification of materials and components) team in Italy. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to our operations within the Area Iberia, Italy & Malta, which encompasses all maritime business activities and comprises approximately 60 employees across 11 locations.

About the Role

As a Newbuilding Surveyor, you will play a crucial role within our Newbuilding and Certification-Verification of materials and components Service Line. You will report directly to the local Line Management and be an integral part of our dynamic team.

Key Responsibilities

While specific responsibilities will be detailed further, your role will involve:

• Surveying and inspecting newbuilding projects to ensure compliance with relevant maritime regulations and DNV standards.
• Verifying materials and components used in new construction.
• Issuing certifications and documentation as required.
• Collaborating with shipyards, owners, and other stakeholders.

Requirements

We are looking for candidates with a strong background in the maritime industry, specifically in newbuilding processes. Essential skills include:

• Proven experience as a Newbuilding Surveyor.
• Knowledge of maritime regulations and classification society procedures.
• Familiarity with DNV standards and practices is highly advantageous.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
