The Attorney-General's Department is seeking a dedicated individual to join the Supreme Court Registry as a Sheriff's Officer. This is an excellent opportunity to contribute to the functioning of the legal system and provide essential support to the Court and the public.
About the Role
The primary objective of this position is to assist the Court and the public by performing the duties of a Sheriff's Officer and jury escort. You will also play a crucial role in supporting the Sheriff in carrying out their functions as outlined in the Sheriff Act 1962.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as a Sheriff's Officer, ensuring the smooth operation of court proceedings.
- Provide jury escort services, maintaining the security and well-being of jurors.
- Offer administrative support to the Sheriff and the Supreme Court Registry.
- Assist in the performance of functions under the Sheriff Act 1962.
- Provide legal support services as required.
Requirements
- Experience in a Sheriff's Officer role is desirable.
- Proven ability to provide administrative and legal support.
- Understanding of public service principles and practices.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
