About the Role
The Mobility team is central to Remote's mission of building a worldwide talent community. This team ensures employees have smooth cross-border transitions, manage immigration and relocation assistance, and maintain compliance with local laws. By focusing on risk management and clear stakeholder communication, the Mobility team enables Remote and its clients to secure top global talent. They continuously improve processes for remote work compliance and business travel, positioning Remote at the forefront of global mobility.
As a Mobility Manager within the Onboarding and Mobility team, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the global employment landscape. This position offers a unique opportunity to significantly impact our global mobility programs and affirm Remote's leadership in the global talent market.
Key Responsibilities
People Management
- Independently deliver on team objectives, understanding their impact on the broader Mobility team and related departments.
- Invest in developing yourself and your team to improve performance and acquire new knowledge.
- Provide ongoing support and constructive coaching to enhance employee effectiveness.
- Develop long and short-term strategies aligned with the Mobility team's vision and goals, setting targets to meet timelines.
- Report to Senior Management on key metrics, targets, and project alignment.
- Review team budgets and ensure adherence.
- Oversee the development of processes and procedures for prompt and accurate processing and monitoring of immigration and visa applications.
- Manage the preparation of documentation for new service offerings and organize training materials for other departments.
- Utilize multiple data sources to analyze and resolve complex issues.
- Act as a go-to resource for Mobility Specialists, leading projects and delegating tasks.
- Maintain regular contact with key colleagues and stakeholders, building and strengthening relationships.
- Adapt communication styles to suit different situations and audiences.
- Proactively identify new ideas and opportunities from various immigration sources to improve productivity.
- Leverage AI and automation in your workflow to drive efficiency and reduce manual effort in immigration operations.
- View difficult situations and problems as opportunities for improvement.
Requirements
- Demonstrated experience managing a remote-first, high-volume operational team.
- A people-first leader capable of operating independently and taking ownership of team results.
- Proven experience in immigration compliance, global mobility, or similar roles within the immigration space.
- Clear understanding of immigration processes and compliance requirements.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Previous experience in the tech industry or a hyper-growth and scaling environment is ideal.
- Fluent in English (written and spoken); additional languages are a plus.
- Experience working remotely is a plus.

Annual Salary Range: $48,300—$122,350 USD
