About the Role
The Underwriter - Motor will play a key role in managing the company's risk exposure within its core business. This position is responsible for ensuring profitability while achieving targeted gross income and market share. The role also involves managing relationships with third-party producers and driving customer excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in managing the company's motor insurance risk exposure.
- Contribute to achieving targeted gross income and market share.
- Manage relationships with third-party producers.
- Ensure a high level of customer excellence.
Requirements
- Three (3) to five (5) years of experience in the insurance industry, with a minimum of two (2) years in underwriting.
- Minimum of five (5) CXC/GCE 'O' Level passes, including Mathematics and English Language.
- Minimum of three (3) CAPE or A Level passes.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Programs, specifically Word and Excel.
- Any equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.
Assets:
- Completed Chartered Insurance Institute (CII) Certificate Level or equivalent qualification.
- Completed or pursuing a BSc. or higher qualification in Insurance & Risk Management, Business Management, or a related field.
