Job Description
AI/ML Engineer (Synthetic Data)
Cint is a pioneer in research technology (ResTech), operating the world's largest programmatic marketplace connecting businesses with real people for insights. We are seeking several AI/ML Engineers to join our Synthetic Data Platform team in Prague. This is a greenfield project, integral to Cint’s 2026 product strategy, focused on building cutting-edge products that simulate and augment survey data.
About the Role
As an AI/ML Engineer on the Synthetic Data Platform team, you will be instrumental in developing novel solutions for:
- Survey Augmentation: Filling in missing responses within surveys.
- Audience Profiling: Predicting respondent characteristics based on available signals.
- Agentic Insights: Answering client research questions using insights derived from existing data.
You will work closely with engineers on augmentation and profile modeling, the data science team, and a product manager. Customer pilots are already underway, and your work will directly influence the product roadmap based on pilot feedback.
Key Responsibilities
- Build Production Models: Design, train, evaluate, and deploy augmentation and profile models using real survey data, managing the entire lifecycle from experiment to production.
- Innovate Solutions: Develop and implement experiments, baselines, and models to create industry-leading simulations of survey responses.
- Utilize Advanced AI: Leverage and fine-tune open-weight Large Language Models (LLMs), build custom architectures, or integrate third-party models via API to achieve optimal results.
- Collaborate with Data Science: Partner with the data science team to ensure the integrity of statistical testing and experimental frameworks.
- Apply AI Tooling: Employ tools like Claude Code and agentic programming where beneficial.
Requirements
- Proficiency in Python programming.
- Knowledge of traditional machine learning tools and techniques (e.g., support vector machines, gradient boosting).
- Understanding of LLMs and their architecture, with practical experience in fine-tuning methods (e.g., LoRA, distillation).
- Proficiency in SQL; experience with Databricks is a plus.
- Familiarity with cloud technologies, such as AWS.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Solid grasp of mathematics, probability, statistics, and algorithms.
- A proactive approach to expanding knowledge and pushing technical boundaries.
- Ability to own conclusions and effectively present them to shape outcomes.
- Knowledge of Java is considered a plus.
What We Offer
- Location Flexibility: Primarily based in Prague, Czechia, with potential for full remote work from Spain or the UK (where Cint has legal entities).
