NVIDIA is at the forefront of quantum computing, and we are seeking a talented Senior Quantum Systems Engineer to join our rapidly growing Quantum Computing team. What You'll Be Doing:
- Collaborate with internal product, research, and engineering teams, as well as external partners, to define system requirements essential for fault-tolerant quantum computing.
- Develop innovative approaches for real-time quantum error correction and calibration, supported by rigorous systems analysis across various qubit modalities.
- Translate product requirements into detailed technical specifications for hardware, software, and firmware components.
- Create test cases that validate technical requirements and review test implementations for accuracy and thoroughness.
- Embrace and foster a culture of collaboration, rapid innovation, technical depth, and creative problem-solving.
What We Need to See:
- A Bachelor’s degree in Physics, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Applied Mathematics, or a related engineering field, or equivalent practical experience. Higher degrees are also welcome.
- A minimum of 5 years of overall post-bachelor’s experience, including demonstrated responsibility for engineering across multiple facets of complex hardware and software systems.
- Deep, hands-on experience working with real qubits and quantum control systems software.
- A strong passion for driving technological innovations into NVIDIA's software and hardware products to advance quantum computing.
Ways to Stand Out:
- Experience with the design of quantum control systems and techniques, including communication and networking aspects.
- Proven experience in the development of real-time systems and embedded software.
- Knowledge of methods for benchmarking quantum computers.
- Familiarity with the adoption of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML) techniques.
- Experience with CUDA and NVIDIA GPUs.
