Senior Market Insights Specialist
PriceLabs is seeking a Senior Market Insights Specialist to transform our extensive market and pricing data into compelling narratives for public relations, thought leadership, and executive communications. This role is ideal for individuals who excel at structuring ambiguous problems, prioritizing key information, and presenting insights with clarity and impact.
About the Role
You will own the end-to-end process of turning PriceLabs' unique data into decision-ready stories. This involves leveraging market and pricing data to create high-quality external communications, a process currently bottlenecked by senior leadership. A core aspect of this role will be the strategic use of Large Language Models (LLMs) and lightweight automation to accelerate data exploration, narrative drafting, and the overall cycle from inquiry to publishable insight. You will apply consulting-grade rigor and strong data visualization skills to establish PriceLabs as a credible source of market intelligence.
Key Responsibilities
- Insight Discovery (≈40%):
- Translate open-ended questions into analytical approaches.
- Explore internal datasets and Business Intelligence tools.
- Identify and select relevant metrics, comparisons, and data cuts.
- Uncover trends and patterns suitable for external sharing.
- Utilize LLMs to expedite data exploration, hypothesis generation, and initial synthesis.
- Storytelling & Narrative Framing (≈30%):
- Distill complex analyses into clear story angles and compelling headlines.
- Structure narratives that articulate the significance, target audience, and implications of the insights.
- Ensure all stories present a distinct point of view.
- Employ LLMs as a collaborative tool for ideation and drafting, while maintaining your own judgment and editorial standards.
- Visualization & Presentation Quality (≈20%):
- Create clean, polished charts and visuals suitable for external audiences.
- Select the most effective visualization methods to convey the intended message.
- Maintain a clear distinction between internal analysis and public-facing assets.
- Leverage AI tools for drafting visuals and refining copy, ensuring adherence to high visual standards.
- Enablement & Collaboration (≈10%):
- Partner closely with PR, content, and marketing teams.
- Develop reusable datasets, templates, and best practices.
- Streamline workflows to reduce rework and approval times.
- Build lightweight automations and reusable AI workflows to enhance team scalability.

- More frequent publication of data-driven narratives.

About You
Required:
- 3–7 years of experience in strategy consulting, analytics consulting, or internal consulting.
- Strong analytical capabilities, including proficiency with SQL, BI tools, and spreadsheets.
- Demonstrated experience in creating executive-level presentations.
- Comfort in taking a clear point of view.
- Excellent communication and structuring skills.
- Proficiency or strong willingness to become fluent with LLMs in daily workflows for exploration, drafting, synthesis, and iteration. You should instinctively reach for these tools.
Nice to Have:
- Experience in SaaS, marketplaces, travel, or hospitality industries.
- Background supporting PR or external communications.
- Experience working with real-world, often messy, data.
- Experience building lightweight automations (e.g., Python scripts, no-code tools, prompt chains).
