About the Role

Bend Health, a Lyra Health company, is seeking an experienced Business Development Manager with a strong background in healthcare sales and consulting. If you are passionate about mental health and possess a talent for inspiring others, this role is for you. You will leverage a diverse skill set, including exceptional verbal and written communication, project management, and quantitative analysis. Proficiency in tools like Excel/Google Sheets and PowerPoint/Google Slides is essential. This is a fully remote position requiring a strong sense of urgency, empathy, and meticulous organization.

Key Responsibilities

• Exceed annual quotas for acquiring new Bend Health partners.
• Inspire senior executives at leading companies to prioritize mental health initiatives.
• Independently and collaboratively prospect for new business opportunities.
• Educate partner leadership on the US mental health care system and Bend's offerings.
• Articulate Bend's unique value proposition through compelling verbal, written, and quantitative communication.
• Successfully negotiate with medical directors, administrators, finance, and procurement executives.
• Maintain accurate deal progress documentation to support business growth.
• Coordinate with Customer Success teams for seamless implementations and ongoing client management.
• Cultivate and expand relationships with contracted health systems to increase referral volume and service scope.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in sales, business development, consulting, or a comparable role.
• Proven experience selling directly to health systems or consulting with them is preferred.
• Tenacious, persistent, and skilled in negotiating business contract terms.
• A strong interest in understanding the US healthcare system.
• A genuine passion for mental health.
• Intellectually curious with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Quantitative aptitude with a desire to derive insights from data.
• Willingness to travel up to 40%.
• Must be physically located within commuting distance to Baltimore, MD.
